November 25th, 2011 No comments

Hey, Anton here,

And you’re reading my uncensored review of what I really thought about Drawings Step By Steps Realitstic Pencil Portrait Mastery.

Note that this a review though, if you’re looking for Realitstic Pencil Portrait Mastery’s website then click here.

Why am I writing this? Well, when I was thinking about buying Drawings Step By Step ‘s Realitstic Pencil Portrait Mastery, there weren’t many real reviews around so I thought I’d write one quickly to help any of you who are in the same position I was.

But be warned, I’ll be going into both the good and the bad points, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then you may as well leave now.

To begin with let me just say although I have always enjoyed drawing, I never considered myself an artist nor have I ever had much talent at drawing realistic images. Therefore when I came across Christopher Sai’s Drawing Step By Step course I was really curious to know; would it work for me? Let me tell you about my experience with it

Let’s start with the creator, Christopher Sia who has spent the last four years drawing and teaching hundreds of students to draw as well.. He claims he was not gifted in drawing and actually failed many times. In fact it took over 20 years to learn all the techniques he has combined into Drawings Step By Step, he claims he discovered 3 key secrets that allowed him to take his portrait sketching skills to a whole new level of realism.

And I’m revealing these secrets to you right now…

The first secret is… Focus on mastering the depiction of every facial feature individually.

The second secret is… Observe the small details in every facial feature.

And lastly, the third secret is… Learn how to see what others cannot see.

This is a review site to visit the official website click: Realitstic Pencil Portrait Mastery

The proof that it works comes from the speed that his students are able to reach the “real master level” using Drawings step by step, in 2 or 3 months, not years as it had taken him and others. Personally as a student I was able to see why understanding these secrets is so important, why it works and why it is so important to practice what you have learned.

You will see how he draws every facial feature with a “truly” step-by-step guide and useful descriptions on achieving a particular outcome. These break down into 5 lessons of realistic facial features drawing.

Lesson #1: How To Draw A Realistic Eye Like A Master

Lesson #2: How To Draw A Realistic Nose Like A Master

Lesson #3: How To Draw A Realistic Mouth And Teeth Like A Master

Lesson #4: How To Draw A Realistic Ear Like A Master

Lesson #5: How To Draw Realistic Hair Like A Master

For full details on these lessons go to Pencil Portrait Mastery

There are a total of 208 pages, 605 illustrations and images, to guide you on your journey to learn how to draw portraits in pencil. It is a truly a drawing step by step pencil portrait tutorial.

What I Liked About This Drawing Step By Step Course

I really found the attention to detail and passion that the author invested in this course to be truly outstanding. Christopher’s passion not only as an artist but also as a teacher really comes across when you start to follow his Drawing Step By step guide. Not only that the little tips and tricks he has picked up over his many years of experience, really makes this drawing course a real gem for anybody interested in learning the art of  drawing faces.

The Process Maps are also helpful for you to have a quick review or reference if you are lost along the course, and 12 week drawing step by step program exercises really allows you to learn the secrets of each lesson more easily.

What I didn’t Like About This Drawings Step By Step Course

Although this drawings step by step course was very useful and I learnt a lot, I found that the scope of it was a little limited; It only focuses on drawing a face step by step. Although many of the techniques are useful in drawing other images, there is no specific instruction on drawing thing like hands and feet for example. However I should qualify that by saying I would rather have a course that does 1 thing very well, rather than one that try to cover everything and not do it properly.

What To Consider Before Buying Drawing Step By Step

The primary thing to consider are that Drawings Step By Step in not a learn to draw in one week course, or a weekend sketching workshop, and you will only get out what you put in. However if you are willing to commit to the 12 week draw a face step by step program that comes with this course, then I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the results you will achieve. I found it was best to set a bit of time time aside each day to follow the drawing step by step program, but make sure you enjoy yourself and don’t try to rush the process.

Also make sure you get the right drawing pencils to ensure the best results.
